2. What data do we process?
- Registering as a patient (registration form): first and last name, phone number, e-mail address and your message.
- Contact (contact form, phone or e-mail): your name, contact details and the content of your message.
- Treatment data: once you are a patient, we record in your dental file the data needed to provide proper care (health data).
- Technical data with forms: to prevent spam and misuse we record the IP address and browser type with a submission.
- Website-use data: with your consent we process data about your use of the website, via cookies, for statistics and advertising (see section 6).
3. Purposes and legal bases
- Registration and dental care – to register and treat you. Basis: performance of the treatment agreement (GDPR art. 6(1)(b)) and our obligations under the Dutch Medical Treatment Agreement Act (WGBO).
- Health data – this is special-category data. We may process it because it is necessary for the provision of care by a professional bound by a duty of confidentiality (GDPR art. 9(2)(h)).
- Contact – to answer your question. Basis: steps taken at your request prior to a contract (art. 6(1)(b)) or your consent.
- Spam and misuse prevention – to protect our forms and mailbox we process the IP address and browser type. Basis: our legitimate interest (art. 6(1)(f)).
- Statistics and advertising – to measure the website and to show and optimise our ads. Basis: your consent (art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time.
4. Recipients and processors
We do not sell your data or share it for others’ commercial purposes. To deliver our services we use providers that process data on our behalf as processors, under a data processing agreement:
- our hosting and e-mail provider (website storage and sending of form e-mail);
- Google – reCAPTCHA for spam protection and, with your consent, Google Analytics for website statistics;
- with your consent, advertising partners to measure and optimise our campaigns: Meta Platforms (the Facebook/Instagram pixel) and TikTok (the TikTok pixel).
Transfer outside the EU: Google, Meta and TikTok may process data (partly) in the United States. Such transfers rely on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and/or an adequacy decision. These services are only loaded after you have given consent.
We also share data where legally required, or – within healthcare – with other care providers insofar as this is necessary and permitted for your treatment.
5. Retention periods
- Treatment data: we keep the dental file in line with the statutory retention obligation under the WGBO (in principle 20 years).
- Registration and contact data: no longer than necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.
- IP address and browser type (spam protection): automatically deleted after 30 days, unless a submission has been flagged as spam or misuse.
- Cookies: see the per-cookie retention in section 6.
6. Cookies
Our website uses cookies and similar techniques. Necessary (functional) cookies are always active because the site would not work properly without them. Analytical and marketing cookies are placed only after you have given consent via the cookie notice; until then they are off by default (Google Consent Mode). You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via the cookie settings at the bottom of the website.
Necessary / functional (no consent needed): remembering your cookie preference, the website’s session and security cookies, and Google reCAPTCHA to fight spam.
Analytical (with consent): Google Analytics measures how the website is used so we can improve it. Provider: Google. Retention: up to 24 months.
Marketing (with consent): the Meta pixel (provider: Meta Platforms) and the TikTok pixel (provider: TikTok) measure the results of our ads and help us show relevant ads. Retention: generally up to about 13 months, in line with each provider’s policy.
To disable cookies in your browser, use your browser’s help function.

You have the right to access, rectify or erase your personal data. You can also object to processing, request restriction or portability, and withdraw consent you have given. Specific WGBO rules apply to health data. You can submit a request via [email protected]; we may ask you to identify yourself.
8. Security
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss and unlawful processing.
